Enquiries of the House
Frequently Asked
The particulars of acquisition, conveyance and provenance, set down for the patron’s convenience.
Acquisitions
Orders & Bespoke Commissions
How do I acquire a piece from the archive? +
Reserve a piece to your acquisitions from any product dossier or quick view, then dispatch it from the acquisitions drawer. A patron of the registry may complete the acquisition; guests are invited to introduce themselves first.
Can a bespoke piece be commissioned to my specification? +
Pieces marked “bespoke” — tailoring, engraved timepieces, monogrammed leather — are made or finished to your measure. Note your requirements at acquisition or in a private enquiry, and a curator will confirm the particulars before work begins.
How long does a bespoke commission take? +
A Savile Row garment is typically bench-worked over several weeks across multiple fittings; a horological adjustment or engraving is measured in days. Your curator will give an estimate in writing once the commission is confirmed.
Conveyance
Shipping & Armored Courier
How are pieces delivered? +
Every acquisition travels by fully insured armored diplomatic courier with white-glove, signature-on-delivery handling. We do not entrust the archive to ordinary post.
Do you ship internationally? +
Yes. Each of the three houses dispatches worldwide from its own atelier — Geneva, Mayfair, or Paris. Transit estimates and any complimentary-shipping thresholds are detailed on our Delivery & Returns page.
Is shipping complimentary? +
Conveyance is offered complimentary above each edition’s stated threshold; below it, a courier fee applies at checkout. Thresholds are listed per edition on the Delivery page.
Customs
Import Duty & Taxation
Are import duties and taxes included? +
A duty and tax charge of 5% is applied to your subtotal at checkout, shown on a separate line in the acquisitions drawer before you confirm. This covers the customary import handling for cross-border conveyance of the archive.
Will I be charged again on delivery? +
The 5% applied at checkout settles the customary charge. Should a local jurisdiction levy an additional duty, our concierge will assist with the paperwork — reach the relevant house through the Contact page.
Inscription
Engraving & Personalisation
Is engraving available? +
Complimentary engraving is offered on eligible bespoke pieces — up to twenty-five characters. Enter your inscription in the piece’s quick view before adding it to your acquisitions.
Can an engraved or monogrammed piece be returned? +
Because personalisation is executed by hand to your specification, engraved and monogrammed pieces are final and fall outside the standard returns window. Please confirm your inscription carefully.
Assurance
Returns & Provenance
What is your returns policy? +
Unworn, unaltered pieces in their original presentation chest may be returned within 30 days of receipt for exchange or refund, less the original courier fee. Bespoke and engraved pieces are excepted.
How is authenticity guaranteed? +
Every piece carries a certificate of provenance documenting its maison, materials, and archival history. The certificate accompanies the piece and must be returned with it should you exercise a return.
How do I arrange a return? +
Contact the concierge of the house that supplied the piece. We will schedule a collection by the same armored courier that delivered it; the archive is never returned by ordinary post.
The Registry
Patron Accounts
What is the patron registry? +
The registry is our private clientele record. A patron account holds your acquisitions, a ledger of activity, an address book of residences, and your presentation preferences — and awards patron points on each acquisition.
How do I join the registry? +
Register your name and email from the patron panel, or select one of the demonstration patrons provided. As this is a demonstration theme, no admission is vetted and no real credentials are required.
